We're back with some No Run First Inning and Yes Run First Inning bets for today.

The NBA and NHL wrapped up their seasons in consecutive nights, so we're all baseball the rest of the summer and that means not just betting on the games, but cashing in early on some first inning over/unders.

I have two picks for today, so let's get right into them.

Best NRFI bet today

I actually took the over for this game because of how well the Washington Nationals hit lefties and how I expected Josiah Gray and the Nats bullpen to struggle last in the game.

However, there is great value in taking the NRFI in this one. Framber Valdez has been great for the Astros this season and that's in large part because he's gotten off to great starts. His 1.38 first inning ERA is tied for 10th in the entire MLB having only allowed two runs on seven hits in 13 first innings this year.

Josiah Gray isn't far behind. He comes into this start with a 3.00 ERA on the year, but in the first inning he has a 2.08 which is 15th in the league. That puts Gray just behind a lot of the elite pitchers in baseball.

Best YRFI bet today

Over the past week the Baltimore Orioles as a team have a 1.001 OPS and are second in baseball with 11 home runs. In this stretch they have been led by Gunnar Henderson who is on first and will look to get things started in the first inning against Jose Berrios.

Not only is Baltimore's lineup hot, but Berrios is terrible in the first. He has the 19th worst first inning ERA of all starting pitchers with a 4.85. In 13 first innings he has allowed 13 hits and seven runs.
