Jason Momoa seemingly confirmed on Instagram that Ben Affleck will be seen playing Bruce Wayne in 'Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom'

2016 saw Ben Affleck donning the iconic Batman costume and exceeding all expectations in ‘Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice’. Fans, who first believed that DC has made a blunder by making Affleck the new Batman, hailed the actor’s portrayal of the caped crusader and started calling his version the most comic-accurate take on the Dark Knight. Since then, the actor has played the iconic comic-book character in three other films. But when everyone thought that Affleck’s time as Batman was over, ‘Justice League’ star Jason Momoa sent the entire world into a frenzy by seemingly confirming that the ‘Deep Water’ star will be wearing the legendary costume once again.

The ‘Aquaman’ star shared a set of photos on his official Instagram account and reported revealed that he won’t be the only member of the ‘Justice League’ that would be returning for the upcoming DCEU movie, titled ‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom’. The actor shared a picture of himself side-by-side with Affleck at the Warner Bros. studio parking lot and celebrated their reunion.

He captioned the pictures, “REUNITED! Bruce and Arthur. Love u and miss u Ben. WB Studio tours just explored the backlot alright. Busted on set, all great things coming ‘AQUAMAN 2’ all my aloha l.”

Momoa also posted a video that seemingly confirmed Affleck is set for another run as Batman in the ‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom’. The video seems to be comprised of fans having a tour of the Warner Bros. studios and they were able to spot Momoa and Affleck leaving the sets together, prompting the ‘Sweet Girl’ star to reveal his co-star’s presence. “Well, we tried to keep it a secret,” Momoa says in the video.

As soon as Momoa posted those pictures on Instagram, entire social media went berserk and began sharing their opinions on the post. A lot of people were excited to see Affleck reuniting with his ‘Justice League’ pal and there were others who believed that they still won’t be seeing the movie because it was Amber Heard in it.

One of the fans wrote, “An accidental news breakout of Ben Affleck coming back as Batman has created more hype for DC than all things they did at SDCC combined.” Another social media user wrote, “I swear I was seeing this video 3 hours ago and I said to myself look how happy Ben Affleck was when he talked about his own Batman movie, and then I see his pic with Jason and I just went too crazy. Now, I’m very happy for the return of my best Batman.” Another fan wrote, “God answered my prayers for more Batfleck content.” Another fan tweeted, “This is awesome. My Batman is back.”
“Pinch me, I’m dreaming,” wrote another one.

Meanwhile, there were some who believed that Affleck’s return is not giving them the excitement to watch this movie in a theatre, all thanks to Amber Heard and her latest controversy with Johnny Depp. One of the users wrote, “Even if it’s true, I feel bad that he’s in a movie that stars Amber Heard.” Another social media user said, “As long as Amber Heard is in it, it’s going to be a flop and hardly anyone would see it.”

Another section of DCEU fans was also a bit upset with the news as they thought that WB and DC are doing nothing to bring Henry Cavill back as Superman, but they got to time have Affleck back as Batman. One user wrote, “I wish WB would give the same love and respect to Henry Cavill that they do with Ben Affleck’. Another user tweeted, “God damn, imagine keeping Henry Cavill on the sidelines and still giving Ben Affleck that work.”

The news of Affleck returning for ‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom’ has divided fans because the actor recently revealed that he is done with Batman. Although he is confirmed to be a part of ‘The Flash’ movie, he made it clear that he won’t be returning for more DC projects. With WB confirming that they have no plans to continue SnyderVerse, the “accidental” reveal of Affleck’s return is really surprising.

Let’s see how Warner Bros. reacts to this news.
