The Kid Laroi fans accused of chanting against J-Hope
J-Hope wrapped up the Lollapalooza Festival on day four of the event, Sunday, July 31, 2022, and therefore, the crowd saw a mixed bag of fans. The Kid Laroi fans and BTS fans made their way to the festival. However, the fans of the ‘Stay’ hitmaker were accused of going against the fans of J-Hope.
While a few pointed out on Twitter that the crowd can both be a fan of Laroi and J-Hope, the majority clearly picked out their favorites. For the uninitiated, J-Hope made history as he became the first South Korean artist to headline the main stage at a major US music festival.
‘Stupid Kid Laroi fans are saying they’re going to mosh’
BTS Army flocked to Twitter to voice their grievances. “F**k these Kid Laroi fans chanting F**k j-hope. For real”, said one as another chimed in, “A bunch of Kid Laroi fans were chanting f**k jhope on their way out...I'm waiting to see if they get their a** beat lol.”
One posted, “Stupid kid laroi fans are saying they’re going to mosh thankfully a lot of the armys around me are adults and said they’d fight back.” Another mentioned, “Hope everyone at hobi’s stage right now stays safe! i am afraid that the kid laroi fans are much less kind than charli xcx’s fans were.”
One fan tweeted, “Bruh some white a** kid laroi fans were pushing thru the crowd and calling army “f**king weird” and saying they hate kpop i’m not slandering kid laroi. the ppl saying that were just funny cuz theyll never understand bro, never.”
Meanwhile, one shared, “Army’s please be extra careful during kid laroi. fans are already pushing their way to the front and being weird and aggressive so just watch out for each other !!!” One added, “And Kid Laroi performs just before Jhope and his fans WILL push to the front. I don't think ARMYs at barricade will last through that.”
One fan wrote, “That's one thing. But people are completely blocking the front, from what I understand. It's poor festival etiquette to block other people's fans, because they come & go. And I'm not down for the negativity that could blow back on Hobi either.”
