Madonna threw a raunchy performance when she appeared on four magazine covers, kissing model Andrew Darnell before licking his nipple

BROOKLYN, NEW YORK CITY: Madonna recently celebrated her 64th birthday and appeared to have a great time at Ricardo Gomes' party-themed Brooklyn photoshoot for PAPER Magazine, where she wore a variety of controversial outfits.

During the interview with her 'Like a Virgin' collaborator Nile Rodgers, she revealed that she wanted to ''provoke people and wake people up.'' In the cover, the pop star could be seen in a short pink bob with bangs and kissing an IMG model, and wearing a transparent gray tank top with a black corset. She accessorized with a slew of chunky silver necklaces layered around her neck and large silver hoops.

The 'Material Girl' hitmaker looked stunning in smokey eye makeup with silver-and-black eyeshadow and bulky lashes. On another cover, she can be seen licking Darnell's nipple while gazing into the camera while someone else keeps her hair out of her face. On the following one, the pop star appeared to be dancing while posing in an oversized pink shirt, black fishnet tights, and ultra-high silver stilettos.

The fourth cover also showed her moving, her eyes closed and her hair flowing. The publication shared a video from the photoshoot on their YouTube channel, with the title ''Madonna Is the Wildest Party Favor.'' The 58-second video shows the actress partying with a variety of intriguing characters while dancing and mingling with the crowd. The video is set to her song 'I Don't Search, I Find,' which has been remixed.

The interviewer asked Madonna if it was boredom or a desire to provoke people that drives her to always push forward and not be afraid to take risks, the pop singer responded that she enjoys provoking people. ''I wouldn't call it boredom, I would call it curiosity — the desire to provoke people and wake people up. I hate repeating myself,'' she said.

She also went on to talk about empowering women through her songs. ''If you think about all the songs, whether it's 'Like a Virgin' or 'Material Girl' or 'Express Yourself' or 'Papa Don't Preach,' I was very much invested in empowering women too and that was a very big part of the storytelling, she said. ''Because I think, while women were making great dance records, I feel like in the early days, while the songs and melodies are really strong and the singers are really good, they weren't really invested in making women think, 'Wow, I don't have to live in a man's world, living under the male gaze for the rest of my life. I can look at life in a different way and not settle. I can have my own voice and my own vision'. ''So that was an important element,'' she added.

The singer also stated that she enjoys it when people inquire about the meaning of her song titles, which frequently have multiple meanings. ''Everything I say is said with irony or tongue-in-cheek or there are multiple meanings, and we live in a very literal world. Especially now,'' she said.

On Tuesday, August 16, the Michigan-born blonde celebrated her 64th birthday in Sicily, Italy. She posted a video of herself kissing two women in the back of a car from the festivities. ''Birthday kisses with my side b**ches,'' she captioned the photo.
